Give Yourself Time
Kelleye H. Martin, spa director at Trellis Spa at The Houstonian, says one of the biggest mistakes clients make is arriving too close to their appointment time. “Giving yourself time to change and use the facilities helps you avoid feeling rushed before your treatment begins,” says Martin.
Know What to Wear
Martin encourages guests to make clothing choices that keep the visit simple. She notes that spas are not responsible for lost items, so leaving jewelry at home avoids worry and saves time spent taking it on and off in the locker room.
She also recommends wearing appropriate clothing for the service. “If you are having a pedicure, for example, choose pants that can easily slide above the knee,” says Martin. “Leggings make this difficult and can hold up the treatment.”
Speak Up Throughout the Service
