The National Weather Service has extended a blizzard warning to encompass several Iowa counties.
Issued earlier for a swath of Minnesota extending north from the Iowa border, the warning beginning at 6 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, now covers Emmet, Kossuth, Winnebago, Worth, Hancock and Cerro Gordo counties. The region includes the cities of Manly, Lake Mills, Estherville, Kanawha, Algona, Clear Lake, Garner, Britt, Forest City, Mason City, and Northwood.
