SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Two house fires have occurred in LeMars, Iowa, this week, leaving families with damaged homes.
‘The Grinch’ takes the stage on Christmas Day
The first fire took place on Christmas Eve. Fire crews were called to a home in the southern part of town a little before 8:30 p.m.
Firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the basement. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire; however, the basement and main floor suffered heavy smoke and soot damage.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire. One dog was found inside and was given oxygen. The cause likely stemmed from a lithium battery explosion while a hoverboard was being charged…
