Inside Reser: Transfer portal and potential late 2026 targets

Late 2026 quarterback offer

Oregon State hasn’t signed a quarterback in the 2026 recruiting cycle, but late last week, it did extend an offer to California quarterbackIsaiah Arriaza. We’d expect Arriaza to potentially visit campus early next month. He garnered over a dozen offers in his recruitment, though his recruitment did fall off as his high school career progressed. Statistically, he finished his high school career completing 62.% of his passes for 8,970 yards and 86 touchdowns with 24 interceptions. He also had 749 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. If the Gophers ultimately choose to take him late in the cycle, it’s a worthy flier to take, especially when you’re looking to just fill out a roster.

Another late 2026 name to know is Archbishop Riordan offensive linemen Michael Langi, whose own recruitment tailed off a bit and is still available.

Potential 2026 JUCO name to know

The Beavers are looking to fill out their defensive line room in the 2026 recruiting cycle. One name to potentially monitor is Fresno City College defensive lineman Elijah Williams. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound defensive lineman also holds offers from Hawaii and Sacramento State in his recruitment. This fall, he recorded 17 tackles, including two tackles for loss.

Transfer portal names to know

The transfer portal opens up on January 2, so Oregon State, at the moment is coming up with a game plan of who they’re going to be targeting in the portal. Here are a few potential early names to know.
