Cincinnati restaurant catches fire after customer places lit cigarette in broken wall

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A restaurant in Cincinnati caught fire after a customer reportedly placed a lit cigarette inside a broken section of wall, lighting the building’s insulation and wooden frame on fire.

Ron’s Roost Restaurant & Bar posted to X and Facebook to announce it would remain open despite a fire that erupted near the restaurant’s carry-out door on Saturday evening.

“Unfortunately, someone put a cigarette on the outside part of our building where a piece of mortar was missing causing the insulation and framing to catch fire by our carry-out door,” the restaurant’s post read…
