Crews respond to a pedestrian involved ‘chain-reaction’ crash on I-83 in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A crash occurred around 8:00 p.m. Friday on I-83 northbound in Dauphin County near the Second Street exit.

According to PennDOT official Fritzi Schreffler, a vehicle stopped and the driver reportedly exited to look at something. Another vehicle pulled behind the stopped car, and a third vehicle struck that one, causing a chain reaction that hit the person outside their vehicle.
