Worcester man found guilty of shoplifting $95.42 from Shrewsbury Market Basket

SHREWSBURY — A 42-year-old Worcester man was found guilty in Westborough District Court for shoplifting less than $100 merchandise from a Market Basket in Shrewsbury last month.

According to the Statement of Facts in Support of Application of Criminal Complaint submitted to the Westborough District Court by Shrewsbury Police Officer Ahmed Kafel, Johua T. Brown, 42, of Worcester, was identified as the suspect who placed merchandise into a reusable shopping bag inside the Market Basket, at 200 Hartford Turnpike in Shrewsbury, and passed all points of sale without paying. The value of the merchandise was listed as $95.42.
