A two-alarm residential fire near Sweet Home destroyed a home, vehicles, and a tractor; no injuries were reported despite challenging rural water supply conditions.
Sweet Home, OR. — Fire crews responded early Tuesday morning to a two-alarm structure fire involving a fully involved residential home on Old Hufford Road near Sweet Home.
The fire was reported at 4:22 a.m. after a family member living across the ridge noticed a large glow and contacted 911. Due to the intensity of the fire and limited rural water access, a substantial multi-agency response was requested.
A total of four water tenders, three engine companies, and three chief officers responded, with 24 firefighters and three support personnel working on scene.
