WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A man was arrested late Saturday night after allegedly driving recklessly on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge and fleeing from law enforcement when they attempted to pull him over.
Jose Martinez-Esparza was charged with a felony count of speeding to elude arrest, reckless driving, resisting officers and driving without a license.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, Martinez-Esparza was driving carelessly and recklessly on the bridge around 10:40 p.m.. When the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull him over, he allegedly sped away but quickly lost control of his vehicle…
