Truck driver charged in September crash that injured Lubbock deputies

A 57-year-old man faces felony charges after officials said he recklessly caused a September wreck that injured two Lubbock County Sheriff’s Deputies at a south Lubbock overpass.

Gregory Vaught was booked Dec. 20 into the Lubbock County Detention Center.

Jail records state he was arrested Nov. 25 in Watseka, Illinois, about a week after a Lubbock County grand jury returned an indictment against him, charging him with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony that carries a punishment of two to 20 years in prison…
