January: Dae Gee Korean BBQ opens first Texas location
The year kicked off with a bang in San Antonio as Denver-based Korean BBQ franchise Dae Gee opened its first Texas location. The spot began serving customers in January and will soon celebrate its first anniversary to kick off 2026. The restaurant allows patrons to get involved in the cooking of their meals by using the indoor grills at their tables. With vegetarian options available, it’s easy to see why Dae Gee is a crowd pleaser in SATX, earning a 4.9 out of 5 stars on Google.

February: Lovers Pizzeria reopens at its new home
Standing in line for pizza has never been so rewarding. Lovers Pizzeria, known for drawing lines that people actually agree are worth waiting in, reopened in its new home miles away from its original spot on the city’s Southside. Situated in Midtown on the corner of Main Avenue and Ashby Place, the mom-and-pop pizza joint reopened on February 1 and has been baking ‘za until they run out of ingredients…
