RECORD SHATTERED
Late Saturday night it was announced that the 41st annual Tulsa Shootout has reached uncharted territory – surpassing 2,000 entries following the first day of parking and sign-in. As of press time, a whopping 2,016 entries among 831 drivers from 42 states and six countries are represented. That destroys the previous record set during last year’s event at 1,855 entries.
Along with the overall record, all six micro sprint classes are currently projecting towards their own records. Those totals (and their former records) include Stock Non-Wing at 480 entries (record was 431), A-Class at 478 entries (record was 404), Outlaw Non-Wing at 435 entries (record was 411), Winged Outlaw at 283 entries (record was 275), Restricted at 209 entries (record was 170), and Jr. Sprints at 129 entries (record was 113).
