TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – We gradually cooled to seasonable levels, peaking in the mid-60s today. Winds pick up tomorrow throughout the day, staying elevated through tomorrow night & mid-day Tuesday. Wind gusts are likely to exceed 30 mph through that time. Additionally, a few showers are possible out east tomorrow. Temps will briefly warm to the mid-70s by Wednesday.
We’re tracking a system to start the new year with rain chances ramping up later in the day on Wednesday through Wednesday night (New Year’s Eve) into the first day of 2026 (Thursday). Rain chances have now been elevated to 70% Wednesday night into early Thursday. Therefore, there’s a good chance we’ll be dealing with wet weather when the ball/taco drops Wednesday night at midnight to ring in the new year. Therefore, First Alert Weather Days have been issued on Wednesday & Thursday.
