The Lovelady Center expands with nearby apartment complex

Big news for women and families rebuilding their lives in Birmingham—The Lovelady Center is expanding beyond its campus with the purchase of a nearby 56-unit apartment complex.

The nonprofit recently announced the acquisition on Facebook, revealing plans to convert the property into transitional housing for women who have completed the Lovelady Center’s recovery program.

The goal: give graduates a safe, stable place to land as they step back into work, family life and independence without losing access to the support system that helped them get there.
