CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Good morning. We have issued a First Alert Weather day. Gusty wind will make travel challenging this afternoon and tonight. A Wind Advisory is in effect for parts of the region, and a High Wind Warning is in effect for the Blue Ridge mountains, through early Tuesday morning. As a cold front advances across the region, a spotty shower may develop. Once the front exits, temperatures will fall and wind gusts may reach 40 to 50 mph. This rather blustery pattern will remain in place through Tuesday. Conditions will gradually become more seasonal by New Years Eve day. We’ll keep you updated. Have a great and safe day !
