Crews from Alachua County Fire Rescue, Cross Creek and Windsor fire departments were dispatched Dec. 28 to reports of a vehicle fire that spread to a large barn in Cross Creek.
Crews arrived on scene to find a vehicle parked inside a large barn. The vehicle had caught fire and spread to the structure. Crews quickly established a water supply from a tanker and deployed two hose lines to extinguish the fire and prevent spread to nearby brush and a nearby structure.
The owner of the property was able to safely remove all animals in the barn prior to the arrival of first responders, and no injuries were reported…
