Two Indianapolis Suspects Arrested After Man Found Dead Inside Burning Car in Delaware County

Delaware County — Two Indianapolis residents were taken into custody this week after investigators say they were responsible for the killing of a man whose body was discovered inside a burning vehicle earlier this month in rural Delaware County.

Authorities allege the victim was still alive when the vehicle was intentionally set on fire, making the case one of the most disturbing homicide investigations the county has handled in recent years.

Vehicle Fire Leads to Grim Discovery

According to court records, deputies with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched on Saturday, December 13, to the 600 block of West County Road 500 South after a report of a vehicle fire in a remote area.
