Indictment dropped against TikToker shot by a federal agent in South L.A.

A federal judge dismissed an indictment against a TikTok creator who was shot by a federal agent in South Los Angeles.

In the order, U.S. District Judge Fernando M. Olgin dismissed the indictment, citing that the defendant was deprived access to counsel while being detained and the government’s failure to comply with the court’s deadlines including the release of body camera footage of the incident.

Carlitos Richard Parias, who goes by Richard LA on social media, was shot along with a deputy U.S. Marshal in October during what DHS called a “targeted enforcement traffic stop.”…
