Today in Sullivan County on I 81 south at the 60 mile marker bridge overlooking the Holston River, a woman was in a dark place and was considering jumping. Because people showed up and worked together, she is alive tonight.
The response included seven Tennessee Highway Patrol units, two Sullivan County units, Kingsport Police Department, Sullivan County EMS, two TDOT units, and coordinated efforts from both Tennessee State Parks and TWRA, including a TWRA agent positioned in a boat on the river below.
