Major delays and cancellations as ‘Alberta Clipper on steroids’ batters New York, New Jersey

A major winter storm slammed the TriState Area over Christmas week causing major disruptions to holiday travel and prompting winter weather warnings urging people to wary of dangerous temperatures and black ice.

As cleanup began after the storm on Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a special notice warning that forecasts called for temperatures too plummet in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
