Power outages reported in Rochester region as winds gust to 60mph

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The power outages are pouring in in as high wind warnings are in effect for Rochester and Western NY. Reports of down limbs, trees and power lines are prevalent throughout the region.

As expected, our western counties are feeling the strongest gusts, around 60 mph, with RG&E reporting more than 6800 without power in Monroe County. National Grid is reporting another 3000 outages in Monroe County. Orleans County has about 3400 customers without power and another 1400 customers have no service in Genesee County.
