Linda Lavin, actress
Linda Lavin, a Tony- and Golden Globe-winning actress best known for playing the title role in CBS sitcom “Alice” and a deeply ingrained part of the Wilmington community for nearly 20 years, died Dec. 29, 2024, in Los Angeles at the age of 87.
Lavin first came to Wilmington in 1995 to shoot “Stolen Memories: Secrets from the Rose Garden,” a TV movie that also starred Mary Tyler Moore. She fell in love with the Port City and moved here…
