First Alert Forecast: incoming temperature drop

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Temperatures are slowly ticking up early in Your First Alert Forecast with Monday morning 50s and 60s reaching for the 70s by the afternoon. Winds will be on the blustery side, so be sure to secure anything loose before you leave the house.

A strong cold front may kick up a few stray showers, but like its name suggests, its biggest feature will be the plummeting temperatures in its wake. Expect near freezing 30s Monday night, much colder highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s for Tuesday and Tuesday night. These metrics that will certainly change the way you dress! From there, 50s and 30s are favored for a seasonable start to 2026.
