LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – A cold front has brought colder temperatures and strong winds to the area. A WIND ADVISORY is in place through 6 p.m. as winds will gust over 35 mph at times. Even with plenty of sunshine this afternoon, temperatures will only reach the mid 50s at best this afternoon.
As soon as the sun sets, they will fall fast. Overnight, freezing temperatures are expected across most of the area. Inland areas will see temperatures between 25 and 29 degrees, while coastal areas will see temperatures range from 29 to 35.
