Record high, dangerous cold, tornado watch on wild weather day

ST. LOUIS – Sunday has been one of those unmistakably “so St. Louis” weather days—record warmth, severe weather, dropping temperatures, and even a few light snowflakes. It’s been a lot to take in. And did we mention the tornado watch for several Illinois counties and one in Missouri?

The severe weather threat has pushed east, and the tornado watch issued earlier this afternoon for southern Illinois and southeast Missouri is expiring. In its wake, we’re left with blustery winds behind a strong cold front and a significant drop in temperatures…
