Shreveport viewers will have a hometown reason to tune in on New Year’s Day as Louisiana rolls back into Pasadena with a food-focused Rose Parade float built around one of the state’s most recognizable traditions: gumbo.
The 2026 Rose Parade theme is “The Magic in Teamwork,” and state leaders say that fits perfectly with the way a pot of gumbo comes together, from crops and spices to seafood and the folks who stir it all up.
