CSFD launches emergency response data dashboard

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) announced on Monday, Dec. 29, that it is introducing its first-ever data dashboard, offering the public a transparent and interactive view of emergency response activity.

The dashboard can be found on the City of Colorado Springs’ website. The dashboard includes two pages. Page one contained a 12-month snapshot of emergency incidents, featuring a breakdown of the most common call types, the top-10 sub-categories within each call type, and a monthly trend chart showing call volume.

“As your Fire Chief, I believe in transparency and accountability. I’m thrilled to publish this new dashboard for you. It gives you an inside look at how your fire department serves our community every day. You’ll be able to see call volumes, call types, and much more. Data drives our decisions and response strategies, which is why sharing this information with you is so important,” said Fire Chief Randy Royal.

Page two of the dashboard gives a station-level and geographic overview with call distribution by time of day, station-specific information, and call volume over the last three months.

Both pages are fully interactive, allowing users to explore data by month, category, and location…
