SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Humboldt man is behind bars after an aggravated assault that involved a pocketknife.
At Monday’s police briefing, Sioux Falls Police spokesman Aaron Benson said the assault happened at an apartment complex near East 3rd Street and North Lewis Avenue around 4 p.m. on Friday. After an investigation, officers arrested Dylan Anderson, 27, for aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance and driving revoked.

The victim and a friend went to visit a friend in the area. When walking into the apartment stairwell, the victim reported the suspect, who was associated with his friend, started a fight with the two of them.
During the fight, the suspect pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed the victim one time in the left armpit. The 26-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while the suspect drove away in his car.
