SALEM, Ore. (KATU) — After drawing ire from public safety unions, the Salem City Council is considering revisiting the reappointment of Kyle Hedquist, who has a past murder conviction, to the city’s Community Police Review Board.
Salem City Council voted 5-4 on December 8 to reappoint Hedquist to the police review board. The council also voted to appoint Hedquist to the Citizens Advisory Traffic Commission and the Civil Service Commission.
