Pofele Ashlock, a native of Euless, TX, will be a senior next year for Hawaii. He’s earned a nickname that’s been receiving a lot of attention from Kanoa Leahey and Rich Miano, who they dubbed him as “Prolific Pofele” in the play-by-play announcing on the UH Football games.
It was about a week ago, according to Stephen Tsai, who writes most of UH’s men’s sports articles, that he has committed to “run it back” one last time in the Green H and Tapa Trim. That’s a huge positive considering he and their starting QB, Micah Alejado (who will be a sophomore next year, and has been monikered as the Filipino Russell Wilson to some), are returning for the 2026 season…
