Stolen Yorkshire Terrier returned to Ypsilanti-area pet shop after social media post

YPSILANTI TWP., MI – A puppy stolen from an Ypsilanti Township pet shop has been safely returned.

After posting security video of the theft on social media, the man and woman accused of taking the dog from Pet City Pets contacted the shop Friday, Dec. 26, to apologize and return the dog, shop owner Stu Collins said.

“Several people contacted me after I posted the video on Facebook including the man and the woman in the video taking the dog,” Collins said. “The guy said he didn’t know she did that, and the woman said sorry and wanted the Facebook post taken down. Yeah. I’m not doing that.”…
