Rape and kidnapping suspect derides Aniah’s Law: ‘Should have kept her mouth shut’

A Vestavia Hills man charged in the rape and kidnapping of his ex-girlfriend was recorded on a jail phone taking aim at an Alabama law that could keep him behind bars.

Charles “Alan” Cummings, 39, is charged with first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree domestic violence, second-degree domestic violence/criminal mischief and harassing communications.
