BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – THE NEXT 24: A cold front swept through the area overnight, bringing a sharp change in conditions that will dominate the next 24 hours.
Today will be windy, with gusts nearing 35 mph out of the northwest. While actual air temperatures will climb into the 40s, the persistent wind will keep wind chill values locked in the 30s throughout the day.
Expect a few sprinkles through mid-morning, with the sky gradually clearing this afternoon.
Overnight, the wind will die down, and the sky will clear. Temperatures will fall into the 20s, making for a cold start to Tuesday.
