28-year-old Holly Hill man arrested on gun charges after traffic stop in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A convicted felon was arrested Sunday morning on gun charges after a traffic stop in North Charleston.

The stop occurred just before 1:25 a.m. on Ashley Phosphate Road near the hotels after a car was seen committing multiple traffic violations. During the stop, officers claim they detected the smell of marijuana, according to a narrative provided by the North Charleston Police Department.

Following a search, officers found approximately 10 grams of marijuana concealed in one occupant’s groin area and about 20 grams of marijuana on the passenger seat, officers said…
