Wyoming man facing felony charges after allegedly threatening construction workers with rifle

WYOMING, Mich. — A Wyoming man is facing felony charges after he allegedly threatened construction workers with a rifle, fired a single shot shot and then barricaded himself inside a home the weekend before Christmas.

The incident happened Sunday, Dec. 21, around 5:30 p.m. at a Wyoming home in the 4300 block of Thorndyke Avenue SW. Officers were sent to the scene after callers reported a man had been threatening construction workers with a rifle. According to police, the man then fired a shot.

The man then allegedly barricaded himself inside his home for several hours while officers negotiated with him. Eventually, he exited the home and was taken into custody without incident, according to police…
