NWS warns blowing snow, 50 mph winds will snarl West Michigan travel

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids warned motorists of poor travel conditions across West Michigan on Monday, Dec. 29.

A Facebook post from the National Weather Service said people should expect blowing and drifting snow, with an additional 2 to 5 inches expected as of noon Monday, Dec. 29. The post said visibility could be less than a half-mile at times.

Winter advisories were placed alerting people to snow upward of 1 inch, and wind gusts up to 45-55 mph in Mecosta County…
