Gun assaults drop significantly in Lexington over four years

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Gun assaults in Lexington have declined significantly over the past four years, dropping from 135 incidents in 2021 to 49 in 2025, according to Lexington Police data.

The decline is encouraging to anti-gun violence advocates.
