A woman is alive after a state trooper stopped her from jumping off a bridge the day after Christmas.
On Friday, Dec. 26, authorities rushed to assist a woman in distress at the 60-mile marker bridge overlooking the Holston River on Interstate 81 in Sullivan County, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said in a news release.
In footage shared by the department, a woman could be seen standing on the concrete barrier, with the river below her. Just as the person leaned down as if to jump from the parapet, a man’s arms reached for her and brought her to safety…
