Don’t drink and drive this New Year’s Eve. Celebrate and ride, instead. To help ring in the New Year safely, the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority is offering free rides on all routes for the entire day and night on New Year’s Eve, giving locals and visitors alike a reliable transportation option.
In addition to giving free rides on all routes, select major routes will also offer extended late night hours. The SunRunner (every 15 minutes), Spark (every 15 minutes), and Routes 4, 18, 34, and 52 will all continue service until 1 am. You can see the full route tree here.
With SunRunner and Spark operating late, it opens up the entire county to New Year’s Eve, done safely and for free. You can start your day at the beach, hit the St. Pete Pier for fireworks, and then be home safe and sound before the carriage turns into a pumpkin. And this magic goes well beyond midnight…
