The Oneida Nation is finally seeing a lot of success in solving a problem many rural areas face – access to high-speed internet.
Tribal officials announced this month that two newly installed communication towers equipped with fixed wireless access technology went active to bring high-speed internet access to rural parts of the 65,000-acre reservation, just west of Green Bay.
“In Oneida, we’ve been used to, unfortunately, very slow or no internet for the longest time,” said Nate Villarreal, senior network analyst for the Oneida Nation. “We’re bringing bigger, better and faster internet speeds.”…
