City of Albuquerque considers major overhaul to improve safety on Lead and Coal

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –They are dangerous Albuquerque roads, where we’ve even seen a city bus plow into a neighborhood home. With lots of crashes on Lead and Coal, the city may be poised to make another major overhaul to try to make those streets safer.

For more than a decade, neighbors have asked for something to change on Lead and Coal.

Greg Weirs, a member of the Nob Hill Neighborhood Association, has been living in the area for over two decades. “There’s a large number of documented crashes where you see vehicles in places that you would not expect them to be and in shapes and configurations that you shouldn’t,” Weirs said…
