Valley lawmaker pushes for changes in CA oil initiatives

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A group of Central Valley lawmakers is pushing for changes to California’s oil policies.

Fresno County Supervisor Nathan Magsig says he decided to send a letter to different counties earlier this year.

“[It said] look, this is a big challenge. I’m concerned about the increasing costs of electricity and oil here in the state,” he explained. “Kern County, Tulare County, Kings County, and Kings County took it to their Board of Supervisors and ratified it publicly. I think Santa Barbara is there. We have representatives from San Joaquin County, Stanislaus County, Merced County.”…
