Monday evening update:
A few light showers along with cloud cover this morning due to a cold front. We also had very gusty winds! Just a trace amount of rain across the CSRA today with the highest wind gust recorded being 46 mph in Augusta. Temperatures reached the mid to upper 60s in the morning but cooled down into the 50s in the afternoon.
Wind gusts are now under 30 mph but combined with the cold and dry air that’s moved in, it is feeling blustery out there. Low temperatures tonight will be in the upper 20s and the wind chill will be in the low to mid 20s by early Tuesday morning. High temperatures Tuesday will struggle to reach 50 degrees. With winds still up to 25 mph and low humidity on Tuesday, we also have a fire weather watch and an elevated risk of fire danger. That means that it is not a good idea to burn outside since fires can easily get out of control and spread rapidly. Wednesday (NYE) will be a similar forecast…
