Cincinnati TV anchors who left and joined their stations in 2025

It was another big year in Cincinnati’s TV news world.

Veteran anchors and reporters left their stations, and new faces appeared on Cincinnatians’ TV screens.

Here’s a look at the journalists who came and went in 2025, plus other major events.

Anchors and reporters who joined, returned or were promoted at Cincinnati TV stations

  • Taneisha Cordelljoined Fox 19 Now (WXIX-TV) as a co-anchor in November.
  • Nicole Aponte became a permanent weekend anchor for WLWT-TV (Channel 5) in August.
  • Reporter Brooklyn Andresjoined the Fox 19 team in August.
  • Former Fox 19 meteorologist Frank Marzullojoined WCPO-TV’s “Good Morning Tri-State” as a co-anchor in October.
  • Former Fox 19 morning news co-anchor Lauren Minor joined WCPO as a weekend morning anchor in September.

Veteran meteorologist Steve Horstmeyer retired after 48 years

Fox 19’s former chief meteorologist Steve Horstmeyer retired in May after 48 years in television. He was the city’s longest-tenured TV meteorologist, according to a 2014 article from The Enquirer.
