Local housing fund raises $200K to help homelessness in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Some of Charlotte’s top realtors are celebrating a big win for the whole community.

The Homeowners Impact Fund brings together the real estate community to help raise money for people who are homeless and the nonprofit just hit a major milestone but only after changing their approach to fundraising.

Like so many nonprofits, Charlotte’s men’s shelter, Roof Above, is facing very uncertain times with federal funding cuts, so they’re relying on community giving more than ever before…
