KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A man incarcerated at the Knox County detention facility has been charged with killing his cellmate.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced Monday that Jayce Green, 30, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his cellmate, identified as 31-year-old Austin Lewis.
Lewis died on December 22 at the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility. According to online records, correctional staff observed reddish-brown staining on his clothing at the time Lewis was found dead.
