‘Quiet holiday on Knoxville roads’ | KPD issues 55 citations during Christmas traffic enforcement period

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Knoxville Police Department said it was a quiet Christmas holiday on the roads this year.

KPD said officers conducted high-visibility traffic enforcement over the Christmas holiday to keep the roads as safe as possible and prevent serious crashes.

From 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24 through Christmas Day, a total of 55 citations were issued in addition to three crash investigations, one crash with injury and two DUI arrests…
