1 displaced after Lexington apartment complex fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — One person has been displaced after a fire at a Lakeshore Drive apartment complex.

Officials with the Lexington Fire Department told FOX 56 News that just after 7:45 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, crews were sent to the 100 block of Lakeshore Drive in response to reports of “a smoke odor.”

When firefighters arrived, light smoke could reportedly be seen from a first-floor apartment. Crews worked fast to contain the fire to a single room in the apartment and then extinguished it.

Authorities said one person was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene, and one person had been displaced…
