POWELL, Tenn. — A man from Oklahoma is facing 20 felony charges after shooting at a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper during a pursuit on Sunday afternoon.
According to THP, a trooper was attempting to pull over 32-year-old Jared Christian Doyle for speeding and failing to maintain his lane on I-75 near the East Emory Road exit. The report says he was traveling 71 miles per hour in a posted 55-mile-per-hour zone.
According to warrants, Doyle signaled that he was going to exit the interstate at Callahan Drive and stopped at the intersection because of a red light. He then turned onto Callahan Drive and proceeded to pick up speed, according to warrants…
