MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police Department officers have made an arrest after an alleged home invasion and assault over Christmas week, News 5 has learned.

MPD officials said 25-year-old Jukyle Hunter, of Chickasaw, was arrested on Dec. 24 in connection with the incident, which happened on Dec. 23.

According to police, they were called to the 2500 block of Courtney Street around 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 23 for a report of an assault.

Officers said they arrived and found that two people had forced themselves into a home before a fight occurred in the front yard, leaving a woman to be hit with a handgun.
